Mike Hendey

Mike has been curating sports tours for more than a decade. A keen footballer, having come through the Nottingham Forest youth system, he turned his attention from a career in football to the chance to combine his loves for sport and travel. He has worked on all sides of the industry, from guiding tours on the ground and operating complex sports itineraries to now leading our specialist sports department – meaning there’s not much he hasn’t seen in his time! In his spare time, you’ll find Mike keeping fit with his local 5-a-side football team or planning his next trip away. His love of travel has seen him spend three years in China, and make repeat visits to Nepal – where he’s both travelled the country by motorbike and assisted with the building of local schools.
