Alongside running through the next 7 days of the itinerary, they’ll also introduce students to the local culture and provide some tips for adjusting to local life, while also explaining the best ways to stay safe while they travel.
  • Once students are all settled in, students can enjoy a walking tour of the local area.
  • Students will then find themselves at the Thai Hua Museum, which offers them an engaging journey into the island’s Chinese immigrant heritage. Housed in a beautifully restored Sino-Portuguese mansion, the museum brings to life the history of Chinese settlers through interactive exhibits and artifacts. Students will explore how Chinese culture influenced Phuket’s architecture, cuisine, and traditions, gaining insight into the island’s unique blend of cultures.

Day 2: Village visit & cultural show

  • For their first full day, students will immerse themselves in southern Thailand’s rich culture by taking a traditional boat to a nearby village, where they will experience daily life through hands-on activities like crafting batik, cooking local dishes, or exploring agriculture.
  • After a delicious dinner, it’s time to watch Siam Niramit Phuket, a world-class cultural show that takes everyone on an unforgettable journey through Thailand’s rich history and traditions. Day 3: Big Buddha, Kata beach & Naka weekend market

  • Today, students will visit the Big Buddha (or Ming Mongkol Buddha) – Phuket’s newest white marble covered religious statue on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata. They will get to explore this important and revered landmark, wile marvelling at one of the largest Buddha statues in the world.
  • Phuket is a hidden gem for surfers, offering warm waters, stunning beaches, and fun waves perfect for all skill levels. Whether they are a beginner or an experienced surfer, Phuket’s surf scene has something for everyone. Students will head to Kata Beach for some of the best breaks, soak in the tropical vibes, and experience the thrill of surfing in paradise!
  • To end a thrilling day, students will wander through Naka Weekend Market and absorb the atmosphere while browsing through stalls carrying a variety of products, including handicrafts, souvenirs, clothing, accessories and a huge choice of local food. Be brave, try the deep fried locusts! They taste like popcorn – honestly!

Day 4: Elephant sanctuary & cooking class

From snorkeling over stunning coral formations to conducting marine debris cleanups and reef health surveys, students will engage in real-world conservation efforts while having fun in the crystal-clear waters.
  • Afterwards, students can get their heart rate moving with a fun and exciting Muay Thai class that dives into the heart of Thailand’s culture! Known as the “art of eight limbs,” Muay Thai combines powerful techniques and rhythm, giving you a unique workout that’s both thrilling and culturally insightful.

Wat Chalong Chedi is built on three floors so feel free to climb to the top floor terrace to get a nice bird eye’s view on the entire temple grounds.
  • Afterwards, students will explore Phuket’s most revered Buddhist temple. They will have the opportunity to meet monks, participate in a meditation session, and engage in a discussion about mindfulness and Buddhist philosophy.
