Getting students out of the classroom and visiting the Elephant sanctuary will help open your students\u2019 eyes to global environmental issues. With deforestation and climate change being one of, if not the biggest issue of today, it is vital for students to learn about and get involved with supporting an endangered species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the sanctuary, students will get the chance to see how non-governmental and community organisations are run. It is easy to feel detached from problems being faced on the other side of the world, but this experience could create a deeper sense of care and awareness for wildlife and the environment for all students – something they wouldn\u2019t get from being the classroom! As we know sustainability is a topic that will only be increasingly discussed in the future.
