<\/span>Korea has a rich history of music, dance and theatre. Especially in the last 30 years, their theatre scene is taking the main stage. The culture of performing arts is held in very high regard, with incredible arts and theatre schools throughout the country. <\/span>Watch a Performance of Nanta<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

watch a hugely popular show called Nanta<\/strong>, a non-verbal comedy show, involving acrobatics, magic and of course a dose of audience participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nanta combines rhythms from Korean folk music with modern musical forms to create an experience very unique but familiar to international audiences. It is a brilliant experience, one where your students will become part of the show!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Join a Local High-School and put on a Production<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Your students will have the chance to make friends with pupils from a local high school,<\/strong> Spend the day rehearsing a number of arrangements and play icebreaker games. Once they’ve bonded and prepared, they will hold a joint musical performance<\/strong> at the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a brilliant opportunity for students to embrace a new culture and new theatre, and learn from fellow performing arts students!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Watch a Pansori Perfomance<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Prepare for your students to be captivated by watching a performance of Pansori<\/strong>, a traditional genre of Korean musical storytelling with singing and drumming. \u2018Chuimsae\u2019 (audience participation) is a must, so don\u2019t be shy! Clap and dance to show your appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is invaluable for students to embrace a different culture’s music and theatre, to inspire their own future creations. Pansori is sure to stick in their mind!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Watch a Taekwondo Perfomance<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Head to Kukkiwon<\/strong>, the World Taekwondo Headquarters <\/strong> to watch a demonstration<\/strong> of \u2018the way of the foot and the fist\u2019 (the literal translation of \u2018taekwondo\u2019), a martial art that originated in Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taekwondo is a truly mesmerising art to watch and will be sure to inspire. The various elegant movements combined with the strength and fierceness of the sport, makes this a once-in-a-lifetime activity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Learn all about South Korea<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Not only are our trips filled with exciting performances to experience, we also make sure your students can embrace every aspect of South Korean culture!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes taking a cruise down the Han River, visiting Namdaenum Market, visiting the demilitarised zone between South Korea and North Korea and talking to a North Korea defector!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
