Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Settle In

  • Touch down at one of the London airports and hop on a private coach to transfer to the accommodation. Meet the guide who will bring everyone up to speed with London life, as well brush students up on the trip rules and safety advice.
  • After the trip briefing, students will take a walking tour of Soho and the centre – make sure to get that perfect photo next to Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square.
  • In the evening, students can enjoy a welcome dinner of traditional British food, such as fish and chips, and listen to a trip briefing.

Day 2: High Art & West End

  • For their first morning in London, students will head to the iconic Trafalgar Square and explore the National Portrait Gallery, one of the most fascinating but often overlooked galleries in London. Here, they will get to know 200,000 famous people via their portraits, including all the British Royals (present and past).
  • Afterwards, it’s time for the students to head to the West End and enjoy a theatre show! They will experience one of the most vibrant industries in the UK and take in the lights of London’s West End.
  • To end their first full day students can take in all the sights of central London with a Thames river cruise! During the river cruise, enjoy the city from a new perspective, while learning about the history of the city through the on-board guides.

Day 3: Tate Britain & Frameless Immersive Experience

  • This morning visit the Tate Britain, one of London’s most famous galleries. Students will take out a sketch book and become fully immersed in some of the country’s best artists while also taking some time to be inspired and let their creativity shine!
  • This afternoon students will explore Hyde Park, one of London’s most famous public parks! Take in the beauty of this urban park and then head out to view Harrods department store and on to Buckingham Palace. Here students can stand outside the official residence of the Royal Family and admire the fountain built by Queen Victoria to honour her late husband Albert.
  • Next up students will take a trip to the Frameless Immersive Experience and step into some of history’s most famous works of art! Explore their galleries and see these masterpieces like never before.
  • In the evening come back to the present as students stroll with their guide through London’s West End, the area in Central London where the city lights never go out.

Day 4: Street Art & Tate Modern

  • Today, students are discovering East London’s vibey street art scene. London boasts one of the biggest collections of uncommissioned street art in the world, including those of the anonymous Banksy. On their tour, learn about this ever-evolving art scene, its motives and challenges, and see how street art can help transform a disused space in the Nomadic Community Gardens, once a place of urban decay and now a home to a vibrant community of artists. One of them will even deliver a workshop where students can try their hand at producing their own street art (don’t wear fancy clothes for this one)!
  • This afternoon students will continue their journey through the world of contemporary art and explore the Tate Modern, home to works by Warhol and Picasso among other artists from all over the world.

Day 5: William Morris Gallery

  • Today, students will get the chance to visit the William Morris Gallery for a guided tour of the gallery spaces and a chance to sketch out their own designs while being inspired by Morris’ famous works.
  • After their first workshop of the day, students will go onto the next! They will experience an interactive print making workshop. During this, they will work with an in-house designer to create their own craft foam print blocks of their own design while learning more about William Morris’ iconic designs.

Day 6: Art Tour & Graffiti Workshop

  • For their last full day, students will enjoy a street art tour of Shoreditch with an expert guide, one of the most popular neighbourhoods for artists in the world. They’ll get the chance to see original Banksy works and speculate about whether their tour guide is Banksy himself!
  • It’s time for students to let out their inner artist with a private graffiti workshop. During this workshop, students will learn some of the key techniques of the art and have a practice of their own design. Then they’ll head out to a designated area and transfer their artwork onto the walls like a true graffiti artist!
  • To end their trip, students will enjoy an evening in one of the many London museums that stay open until late, like the Victoria & Albert Museum or the National Gallery. *Subject to availability*

Day 7: Farewell London!

  • Enjoy a last full English breakfast while taking part in a reflection session and listening to a trip debriefing. It might be home time, but it’s not over. London’s art will follow students back to the classroom…and beyond!
