Activities in Malaysia

Sandakan Rainforest Discovery Centre

A school trip to Borneo brings with it the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most diverse ecosystems. At the Sandakan Rainforest Discovery Centre, students learn about biodiversity in the Plant Discovery Garden, get showstopping views from the 360m canopy walkway, take part in a guided Nature Experience tour, and develop their educational awareness of the natural world through the Centre’s programs.

Cooking classes

There’s no better way to learn about a culture than through their cuisine, and on our school trips to Malaysia, we can include hands-on workshops designed to introduce students to the rich culinary heritage of the country. Teaching students real-world skills but through the lens of global appreciation, cookery classes students to learn in a fun, interactive environment – and get lunch at the end of it!

Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre

Home to some of the world’s most important conservation efforts, Borneo is an amazing location for a socially and environmentally-engaged school trip to Malaysia. At the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre, students spend the day learning about protective efforts around the orangutan, and get the chance to see one of the most endangered species in the world in their wild habitat.
