Quick Facts

Language

New Zealand has two official languages: English and Te Reo Māori. On student school trips to New Zealand, learners can hear and practice both languages, whether it’s reading bilingual signage, learning a haka, or engaging in Māori-led cultural workshops. It’s a powerful way to deepen cultural understanding and communication skills.

Food

New Zealand’s food scene is a mix of Māori tradition and Pacific-European fusion. Students can try iconic dishes like hāngī (meat and vegetables cooked underground), green-lipped mussels, or pavlova. Food-based activities on our student tours in New Zealand offer cultural insights and connect learning to daily life.

UNESCO Sites

New Zealand is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Te Wahipounamu in the South Island, known for its glaciers, fjords, and biodiversity. These stunning locations bring geography, environmental science, and indigenous history to life for students on educational travel programs.
